The original enamel coating is produced according to the process that has been in use for centuries. 

During this manufacturing process, the small air bubbles and flaking in the enamel coating are created - both key characteristics of products made from enamel. 

The enamelling process of fusing the powdered glass onto metal at approximately 800 degrees was first used in the 18th century.  The cream-colored shell with black French Le Bain print is classically finished with the fine, black line on the edges typical of enamel.  Our wash bowl is also an excellent gift idea.
