The story of the balcony friend has its origins in Hamburg in 2017.
After a sabbatical, the founder Sandra Schäfer decided to shape her professional future against the background of holistic work.
At that time there was a bee death in Hamburg, with which two thirds of all urban populations disappeared and this was the final starting signal for urban, sustainable and meaningful work.
We do balcony and terrace design, and the balcony studio soon followed with its floral workshops and a small product line from the balcony studio with ceramics, candles and dried flower creations.
Everything is produced in the balcony studio in Hamburg. We use eco-certified materials and use eco-based materials such as clay, clay-based glazes etc.
