Kaapse Hanz (Collab Kaapse Brouwers) - Baltic Porter (11.5%)

In addition to the almost identical city flags, the people of Rotterdam and Groningen are also quite similar in character. No attitude, no bullshit, just stubborn. That is why we have brewed a thick Imperial Baltic Porter with liquorice and black cardamom with our Groningen friends from Baxbier: Kaapse Hanz. It is a full-bodied and warming beer with a soft malt bitter and a tough aftertaste. The name is a tribute to the Rotterdam father of the Groningen brewer, and a nod to the ancient Hanseatic League of cities around the Baltic and North Sea, of which Groningen was a part.
