DESBŒUFS Champagne is a story of family and authenticity…
It all started with Octave CADEL in 1930 who bottled his first wine, at the time Champagne CADEL in Mardeuil. Through the unwavering bonds of marriage, Champagne DESBŒUFS was then born, passing through several alliances and several names over several decades.
After his father Francis, Quentin is finally the 4th generation and has made it a point of honor, since he took over the business 5 years ago, to re-vinify his wines as much as possible in oak barrels as was done Octave in the 1930s; for the tradition and also for the very particular taste that the barrel gives to a Champagne. This practice had been lost over the years.
The vineyard is divided into 3 geographical zones located in Mardeuil, Montigny-sous-Châtillon and Binson-Orquigny, and is composed of 3 grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot noir and Pinot meunier for a total of 4ha.
Maison DESBŒUFS has been certified High Environmental Value since March 2022 and makes it a point of honor to respect its soils and terroir.
