A delicious Banana Jam made from Costa Rican bananas, sugar and a touch of lime juice. Spread it on toast, splash it in natural yoghurt, or spread it inside a sponge cake. This jam is the banana lover's dream condiment with a luxurious, velvety texture. The story behind our Banana Jam comes from our desire to eradicate food waste. One night one of our staff was leaving Morrisons when they saw hundreds of kilos of Bananas about to be thrown away. A quick call to our recipe development chef later, and we formed a plan to save the bananas.  We bought every single banana and took them directly to our cold store. From here, we skinned all the Bananas and made our first batch of Banana Jams. We processed every single banana within a matter of hours from their rescue.  We were a little unsure whether or not the product would be a hit, but since then, it has been sold worldwide on cruise liners, in the UAE and on Amazon. A few months after developing what we thought was a unique product, many Caribbean customers called us and told us about different banana jams available in their home countries. Realising we'd inadvertently created/re-created an existing product, we were delighted their feedback was positive. As one customer called it, this product is 'habit-forming': "This product has been used on toast, banana bread, plain yoghurt, scones, smoothies, ice cream... and we're just getting started!!!!!!!"
