PREMIUM EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL AGOURELAIO (EARLY HARVEST) AGOURELAIO is what we call the natural olive oil obtained from the crushing of unripened olives, giving it its typical green color. The olives used are picked by hand in mid-October and processed on the same day. In terms of taste, the AGOURELAIO is characterized by rich fruity and characteristically bitter-spicy notes. Researchers from all over the world believe that its beneficial effects on the cardiovascular system and longevity are due to the special combination of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory components. Green olive oil in particular contains a high percentage of the active ingredients oleosin and oleocanthal. While oleosin is considered the strongest antioxidant in olive oil, oleocanthal is said to have anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties in particular. Both substances are not found in any food other than extra virgin olive oil.
