No flavor enhancers, colorings or preservatives R E Z E P T B O R T S H L A G Classic French Onion Soup 5 tablespoons olive oil 3 thinly sliced onions 2 garlic cloves 1/2 cup port wine 3 cups beef broth 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/4 teaspoon sea salt 2 slices of toast 1 large clove garlic 1/2 cup pizza cheese or ground emmental All in one pot over medium heat  Fry the onion slices while stirring until they are brown. Pour in the wine and reduce by half. Add the soup, season with salt and pepper, continue to simmer for about 5 minutes. In the meantime, place baguette slices or toast on baking paper, brush both sides with a little oil and toast lightly on both sides for 3 - 5 minutes. Rub the toast with the garlic cloves. Pour the soup into ovenproof cups, place the slices of toast on top, sprinkle with the cheese and place under the hot grill for 4 minutes - until the cheese has melted.
