Night circus

Cirque de nuit is an example of albums with multiple keys and reading modes. Étienne Delessert offers, along a train and its typically American hay wagons, a parade of the themes he has addressed throughout his career as an author. Pass successively, led by the cat Pluto, the philosophers and writers who inspired him, musical dogs, angels, a lion, acrobats of letters, a black swan tormented by dwarfs, devouring wolf pigs, a little girl and an alligator, the musician who gives them the set and a huge snow globe. A whole menagerie on the road to a mirage, which we follow with pleasure, to the rhythm of immense double pages, like so many paintings of the great circus of life.
