Exentrique is an inclusive & unproblematic skincare brand that’s mission is to improve mental health by addressing socially constructed beauty standards. As a brand, we recognise the importance in making people feel good about themselves on the inside as well as the outside. We combine effective, high quality, barrier protecting skincare with psychodermatology methods, empowerment and affirmation to improve the skin and mind alike. It’s no secret that there is a link between mental health and our skin. Being bombarded with images of radiant, glowing skin by media and major brands can skew our perception of what is normal. We are taking an alternative approve by highlighting the best beauty tip, mindset.
Exentrique currently has 2 products in the range. Every product has been scientifically formulated to be high performing and give great results. They are barrier protecting – a great all rounder for all skin types while being inclusive of those looking for USPS. We are setting a standard of integrity & transparency by avoiding influencer marketing or any form of communication that encourages comparison culture or an inaccurate representation of society. We will provide a safe space for consumers to decide what they believe beauty looks like to them and how they want to explore it. 10% of our proceeds are donated to charities in line with our values : Supporting mental health, gender equality & fewer inequalities
Having grown up understanding skin concerns and their stigmas, Danika Woods founded Exentrique, which launched in September 2020. Danika has had eczema from the age of 3 and experienced the impact it has on mental health firsthand. Stress has become one of the biggest triggers for Danika’s skin and since being able to address her lack of confidence, taking better care of her mind, she has been able to reduced skin flare ups and the impact they have. A beauty treatment like no other!
