Cultivated in the North-West and South-East of Madagascar, pink berries come from a plant of the Schinus variety similar to the pepper plant, but which does not belong to the Piper Nigrum family. Often confused with pepper and wrongly called “pink pepper”, pink peppercorns cannot actually be called “pepper”.
