Kalandraka recovers “Aurelio”, an original rhymed proposal by Antonio Rubio starring a restless bat. Bat and Aurelio are, precisely, words that contain all the vowels. These five letters -the first five piano notes of the alphabet- are the guiding thread of the creative game in which pre-readers and early readers are made to participate. From A to U, the author builds simple poetic phrases based on words that contain one, two and even three vowels of each. With a playful tone and abundant sounds, this work encourages children to become familiar with the alphabet, words and reading: first with simple voices, progressively increasing the number of syllables.
