ORGANIC PEARL SPELLED 5 Kg

Oltresole organic pearled spelt, in the 5 kg convenience pack, is produced in Italy from certified organic crops. Unlike whole spelt, pearling eliminates the outer layer of the grain, allowing for quicker cooking and making it more digestible, while maintaining a good content of fiber, B vitamins and mineral salts such as iron, phosphorus and magnesium. ​ It does not need to be soaked: just rinse it under running water and cook it in a ratio of 1:2 (spelt:water) for about 20-30 minutes. After cooking, it is recommended to let it rest for 10 minutes before seasoning it, so as to improve the absorption of the flavours. It also lends itself to steaming or toasting. ​ Farro is an ancient cereal belonging to the grass family, naturally low in fat and rich in vegetable proteins, ideal for those following a balanced diet or looking for natural energy before sports activity. ​ Pearled farro is extremely versatile and can be used to prepare cold salads, side dishes, soups, or single dishes based on vegetables, legumes or fish.
