Salt from Salies-de-Béarn is a 100% natural spring salt, from the depths of the Pyrenees. Exploited since the Bronze Age, it has always been part of the gastronomy of the South West.
Drawn from Oraas, the spring water, as salty as the water of the Dead Sea, gives birth after heating to a salt of great whiteness harvested from April to October.
With its history and ancestral know-how, Salt from Salies-de-Béarn has benefited since 2016 from a Protected Geographical Indication (IGP).
