Levantine Couscous Pearls - 500g - Moghrabieh - Cereals for winter dish

Simple couscous?   Make no mistake: in Lebanon, moghrabieh likes to take on a festive air!   An emblematic garnish of Southern cuisine, this delicious little grain is traditionally featured on the menu of Sunday family gatherings and all special occasions.   Made from whole wheat semolina, water and salt, moghrabieh is shaped into pearls that are slightly denser and meatier than regular semolina.   A perfect accompaniment to meat and fish, it is a perfect substitute for rice or pasta with its mild flavor, while giving a touch of something else to classic Western dishes.   It can also become a valuable ingredient for varied mixed salads.
