Made from whole wheat semolina, salt and water, they offer a dense and melting texture, perfect for enhancing slow-cooked dishes such as the traditional moghrabieh – a stew made with chicken, onions and chickpeas. Their mild taste and delicious consistency make them an excellent substitute for rice or pasta, both in hot dishes and cold salads. Made from wheat grown by local farmers, these pearls are handcrafted by a women's cooperative located in the rural Bekaa region.
