Red wine Atelier Öküzgözü 2022 - Turkish wine house

Authentic, tasty and always impressive red wine, made from the Öküzgözü grape. The wine is soft and pleasant with full and balanced tannins and a long finish to enjoy. Vinkara winery has been active in the Turkish wine landscape since 2003 and nowadays produces high-quality wines on 62 hectares, mainly based on indigenous grape varieties from Turkey. The homeland of the 'Öküzgözü' grape variety is the Elazığ region, on the border with Southeastern Anatolia. However, the grape variety also feels at home in other regions of Turkey and produces very good wines with different characteristics. Atelier Öküzgözü is vinified from Öküzgözü from Kalecik in Ankara province. There is also a continental climate like in Elazığ. The winters are cold and the summers hot and dry. The soil type varies from red loam/clay with a proportion of granite to slightly calcareous soil. Atelier Öküzgözü presents itself on the nose with aromas of red fruits, blueberries, nutmeg and tobacco. Atelier Öküzgözü is a full-bodied wine, yet offers an easy drinking flow with the very well-rounded tannins. Atelier Öküzgözü is a good example of a typical Öküzgözü.
