Skin, our largest organ with an area of about 1.8 square meters, is extremely permeable to what we put on it. Therefore, it is time for skin care that is in harmony with our healthy lifestyle - a concept of “clean eating” for the skin.
Our products are thought through holistically right from the start. We value natural formulations, local and fresh production in small batches and sustainable packaging. From harvest to jar - no synthetic preservatives, no fillers, palm oil-free and fragrance-free. Our products are designed to strengthen the skin barrier and return the skin to its natural balance, regardless of skin type and suitable for all genders. Our focus is also on anti-aging, anti-pollution and the prevention of hyperpigmentation.
The origin story of 1Komma8 Skinfood: When I, Nicole Algieri, founder of 1Komma8, was looking for non-toxic, palm oil-free skin care with a few, yet effective ingredients because of my rosacea, I couldn't find what I was looking for in the pharmacy cosmetics section. So I decided to create my own skin care. Already in the first tests I noticed how my skin calmed down, its own self-healing powers were activated and it found its natural balance. I soon realized that the principle of specifically strengthening the skin barrier also worked well for others with sensitive skin, be it acne, dermatitis or impure skin.
When developing our products, we attach great importance to compatibility and have them dermatologically tested. We only use natural and fresh ingredients, cold-pressed oils and gently extracted plant extracts. We work closely with local producers in Germany as well as sustainable projects in Africa.
We at the 1Komma8 family firmly believe that the effectiveness and tolerability of a product depends on the quality and freshness of its components as well as the care and transparency with which it is manufactured.
