Melissa essential oil, in 2 ml format, is extracted from the leaves of the lemon balm plant, by our French and Bulgarian producers. This essential oil offers a delicate and lemony scent. Lemon balm is an herbaceous plant that grows to around 60 to 90 cm in height. Originally from the Mediterranean region, it has a history of use dating back to Antiquity. The Greeks and Romans considered it a sacred plant and attributed various medicinal properties to it. It prefers temperate climates and generally grows in well-drained, sunny soils. Lemon balm is often nicknamed “bee weed” because of its attractiveness to pollinating insects. The flowers are rich in nectar and attract a wide variety of bees and butterflies, helping to pollinate gardens and neighboring crops. _________ Directions for use: One or two drops to flavor culinary preparations.
