Indonesia started growing coffee before America and is one of the largest producers in the world. This coffee is produced by the Ketiara Women's Cooperative, founded by another woman. Not only do they trade coffee, but it promotes the value and passion to celebrate the incorporation of women into the coffee business. One of the objectives of the Cooperative is to promote the incorporation of women in the coffee business. The members of the cooperative normally cultivate 1-2 hectares of coffee which constitutes the main economic income in the family.
