Alterosac is a SCOP based in Boêge, in Haute-Savoie, whose workshop creates washable textile alternatives to all our everyday disposable products, relating to cooking, shopping, the bathroom, well-being, and children.
Founded in 2016 from the manufacture of bulk bags, Alterosac strives to meet a growing and diversified demand, now offering a wide range of zero-waste textile accessories Made in France.
The materials (Oeko-Tex certified or GOTS organic cotton, French GOTS organic linen) are sourced and processed with a constant focus on quality. The company promotes local partnerships as much as possible, and strives to make its products accessible to as many people as possible with an attractive market positioning.
The company is also diversifying its activity, while remaining faithful to its core business: It supports companies and communities in the creation of zero-waste textile products through a personalization offer. It also develops the design of upcycled products, by reusing materials saved from the dumpster. In partnership with public establishments, Alterosac shares values and know-how through zero-waste sewing workshops.
In order to fully integrate seamstresses into the life of the company, Alterosac transformed into a SCOP in 2018. The adventure is now run by six employees, including four seamstresses.
Alterosac brand products are distributed in many independent bulk grocery stores, as well as in several store chains.
