Alterosac is a company based in Haute-Savoie, in Boëge, whose workshop produces a wide range of washable and reusable textile products, with the aim of reducing daily waste.
Driven by the desire to offer an alternative to single-use packaging used for transporting food sold in bulk, Florence Herickx created her company in 2016.
Alterosac is working to meet growing and diversified demand by now offering a range of zero-waste textile accessories for shopping, the kitchen, the bathroom and children.
Alterosac is also diversifying its activity, while remaining faithful to its core business: It supports companies and communities in the creation of zero-waste textile products through a personalization offer. It also develops the design of upcycled products, by reusing advertising tarpaulins saved from the dumpster. In partnership with public establishments, Alterosac shares values and know-how through zero-waste sewing workshops.
In order to integrate seamstresses into the life of the company, Alterosac transformed into a SCOP in 2018. The adventure is now run by six employees, including four seamstresses.
Alterosac brand products are distributed in many independent bulk grocery stores, as well as in several store groups.
