We are Laurence and Jean!
The idea for our reconversion came to us when we discovered, during a holiday in the Gard, the existence of a rare orchard in France: that of the almond tree!
At the beginning of the 90s, we decided to take on a challenge, leaving our native region and our respective jobs to join the last 150 almond producers in France.
We created our farm hectare after hectare, at the foot of Mont Bouquet.
Today we grow our 100% French almonds on 24 hectares.
And we transform our entire production of around 10 tonnes into various products such as:
Powder, savory grilled biscuits, almond pastes, spreads, nougat…..
All for direct sale through producers' stores.
A few years later and to diversify, we enriched our crops with olive orchards.
Our crops are grown in complete harmony with nature.
We do not practice any chemical weeding on our crops: it is the sheep that graze among the orchards to weed! Likewise, the fertilizers that nourish our soil are organic.
Our orchards are not irrigated, which generates a lower yield, but promotes the concentration of aromas in the fruit.
We work in sustainable agriculture.
The two French varieties grown are Ferrastar and Ferragnès, harvested then dried on site by natural ventilation, and are not treated after harvest.
We are equipped with our own processing laboratory on our farm in order to enhance our production ourselves.
