Abomey indigo

The Abomey design is inspired by embroidery patterns that were found in the ancient kingdom of Dahomey, Africa. These fabrics were specially made for the king, depicting Naïve symbols of animals and human figures. These tapestries were used for interior decorations such as wall hangings, coverlets, and flags.
