Gran Coclé royal

The Gran Coclé silk scarf design is inspired by pre-historic pottery found in an ancient archaeological site in Central America. Amongst the ruins were found thousands of colored bowls and plates that were used by the Shaman for ceremonial purposes. Mind-altering plants were used to aid the Shaman to enter trance states to communicate with the spirit world. Art historians associate the vivid, surreal nature of the ancient designs with one’s state of mind under the influence of such substances.
