HASne & Gramme is above all the realization of a family adventure. Its creator, Jean-Yves, has been passionate about word games since he was a child. He enjoys creating anagrams to brighten up family evenings and everyone asks for more. After brainstorming to find hundreds of anagrams, he asked himself: “why not create a game?".He then sets out, well surrounded by his cousin François, graphic designer and designer, by his daughter Sophie, specialist in digital marketing and by his wife Anne and his brother Philippe for the commercial part.
The goal is to create an intergenerational game with which adults and children can have the same fun, simple rules and at an affordable price. This is how the concept very quickly turned towards a card game, of different levels of difficulty and of varying duration so that everyone, depending on their age, can find pleasure in it.
It remains to find the manufacturer. The environmental approach and therefore manufacturing in France is obvious. It indeed seems absurd to the Âne & Gramme team to take a simple game of cards across countries or continents!
Contact was made with the company Ferriot Cric, a family business in eastern France, which uses sustainable means of production. Thus, the printing of the game is Imprim’Vert certified with vegetable inks, the paper and cardboard are FSC certified and the workshop uses geothermal energy. In addition, Ferriot Cric is committed to training its staff and maintaining employment in this economically sensitive region.
HASne & Gramme is also designed to limit what is superfluous: no spacers, reduced dimensions, no plastic elements (apart from protective films).
The game is then published and launched in October 2022. It is currently sold in around twenty stores and marketplaces. HASne & Gramme is listed by the Association des Ludothèques de France. HASne & Gramme has also established a partnership with the charity DIRECT ACTION SERERIT which helps poor populations in this region of Kenya to advance the school education of children.
