Cucunci are a typical Sicilian product famous for their strong and pungent taste. Cucunci are the fruits of the caper plant, but what is the difference between cucunci and capers? The caper plant produces buds, called capers, which after flowering become the fruit, and the caper fruits are called cucunci. Cucunci are fleshy berries, with pinkish pulp and a 2/3 cm stalk, with a Sicilian flavour. Ingredients: Cucunci, sea salt. Processing: The cucunci are harvested by hand and then washed. They are then salted and packaged. Suggested use: appetizers, salads, ingredient to enrich sauces and dressings. Net weight: 200 grams
