Sunflower honey is harvested in summer, mainly in July and August, when the vast sunflower fields are in full bloom. Bright yellow to golden in color, it is distinguished by its rapid and fine crystallization, forming a creamy texture. Sunflower honey is a mild honey with a strong sweetening power. Appreciated for its discretion and its fine and subtle taste. Its creamy texture is comparable to a sensation of microbeads in the mouth, very pleasant, it combines pleasure and indulgence. We are proud to offer you a range of different honeys from Périgord, thanks to the floral diversity that our region offers. Our sunflower honey is a product from various apiaries located throughout the Dordogne region, and harvested from July to August. Bees are our priority, their health and well-being are preserved in our honey production using artisanal methods. Their environment is optimally designed for their development and reproduction. The honey is carefully harvested after each flowering, to guarantee its superior quality, as well as its traceability. The proximity of our production is essential to limit the environmental impact of our activity and to offer you quality products. Sunflower honey is a honey produced at the edge of flowering sunflower crops during the month of July. The hives are thus transported when the sunflower flowers begin to bloom, in order to make a quality monofloral honey.
