Lotte and Arjan, both proud owners of Arelo tea and accessories. After living in China for a wonderful time, ARELO is our result.
At ARELO:
- We employ people who have their own place in the labor market (distance sounds so negative, so we
call it something else).
- We only sell loose tea of good quality and ethically sourced.
-We prefer to make as many people as possible happy, both the customer and the people we work with.
Our Story
We are Arjan and Lotte. We live in the cozy town of Woerden with our two children and cat Klaas. Together we run ARELO tea with great pleasure.
Our Mission
Tea makes people happy! Our mission is to make as many people happy as possible. And by that we don't just mean our customers, but also the people we work with.
We do this by:
- offering high-quality, top-quality tea,
- fair and accessible prices,
- and a committed, socially responsible approach to business where everyone matters.
Social entrepreneurship
From the beginning, our passion has been to work as much as possible with people who have had fewer opportunities in society. We have worked extensively with clinics, mental health institutions, work experience placements, and sheltered workshops to package our products. Since 2022, we have been working with Fermwerk in Woerden, which handles the entire production and order processing for us. They want as many people as possible to participate in society according to their own abilities and we are happy that we can contribute to this.
We also believe it is important that our tea is produced in a fair manner. That is why we work together with an importer in Germany who has its own plantations. They comply with all food safety, fair production and sustainability certificates and strictly monitor this.
Range
We've tried to create the most comprehensive concept possible when offering our products. We sell a wide range of loose tea flavours (includinga. nice texts suitable for various occasions) as well as different types of accessories to make the tastiest loose tea as easily as possible. We are constantly developing and releasing new products and tea flavors.
Customization
In addition to selling ARELO tea and accessories, we also offer customization services. So if you would like to release tea under your own label/private label, want different texts or other accessories, please contact us.
