Huoshan Huangya, Yellow tea from China, Pack of 25g in bulk

Wonder of Huoshan. Huoshan Huangya is a high quality yellow tea sourced from Huoshan County, Anhui Province, China. The best qualities are from the Jin Ji, Jin Shan Tou, Jin Zhu Ping and Wu Mi Jian mountains, villages which are about 800 meters above sea level. Huoshan Huangya was established in the Tang Dynasty (618- 907) and Lu Yu, the Tea Sage, described this special yellow tea in his famous tea classic (Cha Jing). The method of processing this tea was lost in the 1940s and was not reproduced until 1972 by three tea masters. The method involves picking the buds only once in the year, the buds will then be rolled in special paper known as Niu Pi Zhi, and then dried at a temperature of 50 ° C for a few hours. Directly afterwards (still heated), they will be covered with a damp cloth with a humidity level of 80 to 90%. The goal is to oxidize the buds for 20 hours, the time essential to complete this step. The latter is also responsible for the coloring of the buds and giving the slightly sweet taste of yellow tea. ORIGIN: HUOSHAN, ANHUI, CHINA.
