La Rochelle / The Towers of La Rochelle

Remains of the city's fortifications, the two medieval towers, the Chaîne tower (the round) and the Saint-Nicolas tower (the highest) guard the entrance to the port and are the symbols of La Rochelle. The Lantern Tower, surmounted by an arrow and located a few hundred meters away, completes the magnificent picture of the towers of La Rochelle, classified as Historical Monuments since 1879.
