Atelier Diospyros is a brand of precious wood creations designed by 4 hands in Fougères in Brittany.
There are two of them who create their creations: Antoine Buron, a graduate of cabinetmaking crafts, and Clémence Quitterel, a graduate of the Boulle School of Design. For their jewelry and accessories, precious wood is their raw material. Why precious? These woods are considered for their exceptional quality (finesse, density), their origin, their colors, their rarity and their price. Discover the intense red of padouk, the deep black of ebony, the surprising purple of amaranth...
Recovery is at the heart of their craft: they use precious woods that, due to their size, shape, or natural defects, have been excluded from the traditional processing process.
Since 2024 Clémence Quitterel has also been developing a collection of CYANOTYPES inspired by her initial training in graphic design and photography. Dreamy and sensitive, Clémence catches the dreams she has and transforms them into cyanotypes.
HAS From photographs she takes, papers she cuts out, sentences she invents, she composes images inspired by the landscapes that surround her, all in blue.A gentle and imaginative blend that tends to recall the beauty of the world, to reflect on the sweetness of life and the modesty of clouds and landscapes.
