A New Zealander living in France since 2010, I have always worked in the world of specialty coffee and catering. Even though I LOVE coffee, I always wanted to offer my customers another drink that revives the taste buds: the chai latte.
Looking for a real good natural chai latte for us at home but also to offer in coffee shops, I decided to give it a try. After several attempts, genius failures, umpteenth recipe tests, the small chai factory, awachaï, was born with one objective: to make the best possible drinks based on spice powder, part of which is crushed during manufacturing, thus preserving their aromatic power.
It was also important to create drinks using products that were as organic as possible and without maltodextrin, and that these drinks were as simple and quick to prepare on the Marzocco at the local coffee shop as at home.
Supplying several coffee shops, hotels and restaurants in France, Awachaï remains a family and artisanal business, driven by the desire to do things well and to remain independent and innovative.
