Originally from North Africa and from a rich and generous culture, Berber rugs are steeped in history and emotion. Going back more than 10,000 years, the making of Berber rugs is the result of a particular way of life of the nomadic tribes who lived in the northeast of the Atlas Mountains. The women of these tribes recovered the wool of sheep to weave their goods (linen, tents, clothes and rugs). Often referred to as abstract art, the inspiration for the patterns found on Berber carpets comes from millennial traditions and an instinctive imagination.
