Bahâme is a French brand of textile accessories handmade in India, in a small solidarity workshop in Calcutta.
Behind Bahâme, there is me, Gwenn – Breton, committed, and who fell in love with India at the age of 30 during a volunteer mission. After a burnout, I wanted to create a brand on a human scale, with meaning.
Bahâme was born from this encounter: that of a need for meaning, Indian craftsmanship, and courageous women like Sunayana, who trains and employs other women in precarious situations.
We offer pouches, bags and pencil cases made in small series, in colorful and cheerful fabrics. Each piece combines the soul of India and a nod to my Breton roots (long live stripes!).
Our commitment: ethical manufacturing, short supply chains, with fair prices all year round.
Bahâme is aimed at concept stores, designer boutiques, bookstores and living spaces that want to offer beautiful, durable objects that embody human values.
