It's Boxing Day already. This morning, everything is calm, without noise. "Come on, quick! Let's go! I mustn't be late." A snail sets off for a mysterious destination. And he's in a hurry! He has a mission to accomplish... For four seasons, he will move forward, never getting discouraged despite the difficulties. But he will find help along the way: a fox will allow him to cross the immense expanses of winter snow, a swallow will carry him in the spring, the butterflies will shelter him from the summer sun and the squirrel will guide him in the fall. And already, it's Christmas Eve that's back. But what is this obstinate snail doing on this particular night? This tale makes the link between Christmases from year to year, telling the encounters according to the seasons. The colorful and scotch illustrations bring a new and modern angle to such a traditional universe. Text: Pierre Crooks, Illustrations: Nicolas Lacombe, 32 pages.
