Such a pretty Earth

A large family of penguins realizes that their ice floe is slowly disappearing. They are forced to leave. They have heard of many wonderful places on Earth: the southern sea, the eastern meadows, the western flower hills, the northern forests... But everything is so dirty, so polluted... it is no longer possible to live here! But from the Moon, the view is so beautiful, our planet so blue… Maybe all together we could heal the Earth, this planet of ours… The 84 penguins are a reference to the 84 first signatory countries of the Kyoto agreement (COP3) which entered into force on February 16, 2005. Since then, many other countries have joined them and 184 countries have ratified it at the beginning of 2013. This treaty establishes a comprehensive framework for the international effort to address climate change caused by greenhouse gases. This little album makes it possible to approach this burning subject with simple words and very evocative images with children. But he does not forget to remember that nothing is lost, our planet is still beautiful and together we can heal it. In 2015, the Paris agreements set objectives to fight against greenhouse effects and help developing countries to participate. Unfortunately, some find that it costs too much, others on the contrary that it is not enough. And what can we do at our level? A lot, with simple gestures and together, they will have a certain effectiveness. Text: Satoe Tone, Illustrations: Satoe Tone, 32 pages.
