BANDAI NAMCO, a key Japanese group in the world of entertainment products and services, is No. 3 in the world in toys and No. 1 in Japan. In France, BANDAI has been making children dream since 1981 by mixing creativity and emotion, cult characters and innovations: Dragon Ball, Pokémon, Miraculous, Ben 10, Knights of the Zodiac, Harumika, Badge It and of course Tamagotchi... These are 1000 wonderful worlds of action and fantasy that opens up for each generation of children... and it's not about to stop!
Historical
Created in 1950 in Japan by Naoharu Yamashina, BANDAI quickly established itself as a benchmark in terms of quality. The success of its first products (model cars) went beyond Japanese borders from the first years.
From 1963, BANDAI launched an attack on the world by opening its first offices in the United States, and at the same time developed its first range of toys in the image of television heroes: Astroboy. It was in the 70s that the legend was built, thanks in particular to the first robot figurines, the appearance of vending capsules and the development of the first electronic toys.
The 1980s were marked by the establishment of subsidiaries in Europe, notably in France in 1981 with BANDAI SA. The activity continued to develop and the group had a string of successes: Saint Seiya (1987), Sailor Moon (1993), Power Rangers (1993), Tamagotchi (1996), Hyper Yo-Yo (1997), Badge It (2002). ), Tamagotchi Connection (2004),…
In 2005, the company took on a new dimension by merging with NAMCO Ltd to become the BANDAI NAMCO group, which thus became one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of toys and video games in the world.
Today, BANDAI NAMCO Group develops entertainment services and products around the world. Its areas of activity are particularly broad, ranging from vending toys and figurines to video games, including anime and network services.
