Instead of just talking about other beers, we also wanted to brew our own beer. The “Barbarossa I am” brand was created in collaboration with experienced brewers. Four different, barrel-aged craft beer recipes were developed: Gose, Imperial Stout, Porter and Hansebock. Incidentally, “Barbarossa I am” is named after Frederick I (called Barbarossa), who issued a charter to the city of Hamburg in 1189, thereby enabling the trade in grain and beer.
