Voantsy Perifery wild pepper - 50 g

Harvested in Madagascar from the top of giant trees, a sweet but hot pepper with a strong woody flavor Little known, Voantsy Perifery pepper is a wild pepper growing on tall vines (up to 20 meters from the ground) in the humid tropical forest areas of the island of Madagascar. Picking it by hand by local villagers is therefore difficult and dangerous. We can find different degrees of maturity of the berries during harvest, explaining the nuances in the color of the grains. Its flavor is powerful without being pungent, and its woody scent with a slight scent of fruit, citrus and flowers. Its fresh taste, with a great length in the mouth, goes very well with meats (especially pork and lamb) and coconut milk sauces.
