It all started in colonial Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon, ruled by the British Empire. On reaching the shores of Ceylon, the East India Company began cultivating plantations extending over hundreds of acres in the hills.
Since 1824, Ceylon tea has been continuously exported throughout the world due to the exceptional quality of its tea. Since then, Basilur has been fully committed to maintaining the excellence of this heritage through the creation of unique and innovative Ceylon tea products.Basilur teas are now exported to 75 countries around the world and feature a collection of over 200 different tea blends.
