In 1985, Alain and Stéphane Batt opened their first chocolate store in Nancy.
In 1999, they created a collection of chocolates to celebrate the centenary year of Art Nouveau in Nancy. These chocolates, named “Squares Ecole de Nancy” represent the vases of Daum, Gallé and Majorelle.
That same year, a new product, still in line with Lorraine specialities: "Les Babas de Stanislas", was launched.
At the beginning of 2001, at the INTERSUC show, they presented the BABAS DE STANISLAS. Good surprise, they won the gold medal.
Since 2001, the collection of manufactured regional products has grown steadily. Stanislas Babas are now available in 9 flavors; since Mirabelle de Lorraine and Rum have been added: Poire Williams de Lorraine, Quetsche from Alsace, Blackcurrant from Burgundy, Cognac and Apple from Brittany, Grand-Marnier and Limoncello.
