
Ernest, 11 years old, and Colette, 6 years old, arrive in Grangeville, at their grandparents' house, to spend the summer of 1939. The weather is nice, we go to get milk and eggs from the farm, we build a cabin... Alas, on September 3, war was declared: their father had to urgently return to Paris, and their mother, ill, left to seek treatment in Switzerland. Both decided to leave Ernest and Colette in Normandy, where they would be safe. But where they have everything to learn: new habits, new friends... The children will thus meet Jean, Fernand and Muguette, with whom they found the Robinson club - a club which meets in secret in a magnificent cabin in the heart of the forest. However, life is not fun every day, because other children make things difficult for them. And then one evening, after months of a strange war that doesn't look like war, planes appear in the sky and bomb the big city, in the distance...
