The Beillevaire cheese factory was born in the Marais Breton-Vendéen, at the initiative of a certain Pascal Beillevaire. He draws inspiration from his parents' profession, farmers in Machecoul in Loire-Atlantique, who sell milk cartons, cream and eggs at the markets.
Passionate about customer contact, he quickly had the idea of offering his own products, respecting the short supply chains practiced by his parents.
Always accompanied by his wife Claudine, Pascal Beillevaire began the history of the cheese factory, producing cream, butter and fromage blanc on his parents' farm, to sell at local markets.
But that was only the beginning! Passionate about the product, and enthusiastic about meeting the producers, Pascal and Claudine Beillevaire complemented the existing offering with niche cheeses. The Salers was the first. These were the beginnings of the talent scout profession at Beillevaire, which would take its rightful place over the following years.
This profession has subsequently become a true guarantee of respect for our milk and cheese producers: indeed, we value their work through a total commitment in our commercial network.
Forty years later, the company has grown considerably: our customers have become attached to the brand and its products, and the teams have become more structured.
Pascal Beillevaire's passion does not stop there, as seven production workshops, strong in their traditions and know-how, have joined the adventure. The objective? Offering ever more delicious products, with the signature Beillevaire manufacturing touch.
The transition began in 2021 with the sons of Pascal and Claudine Beillevaire, in the family spirit that has always been that of the cheese factory.
