Belacolmea was born thanks to the work of the Galician Beekeeping Association and with the aim of enhancing the potential of beehive products through a new line of natural cosmetics with PGI Galician Honey, being the only brand on the market that is dedicated to the commercialization of creams and balms with authentic Honey from Galicia IGP. The use of this highly nutritious component means that Belacolmea also shares its antiseptic, antioxidant and regenerative character, perfect for creating a complete daily beauty routine. Likewise, it is also benefited by other products of the hive and essential oils. After two years of study, research and development with the University of Vigo (Department of Applied Physics, Campus Vigo and Department of Plant Biology and Soil Sciences, Campus Ourense); and thanks to the participation of 60 volunteers and financing with own funds from ADERCOU (GDR11), this line goes on the market with the maximum guarantees and innovation. Belacolmea has a range of high quality products with one hundred percent natural, ecological and sustainable ingredients; Free of parabens and other toxic substances. This extensive line of products covers body care, nutrition and skin repair in specific areas. In addition, Belacolmea has been awarded the prize for Rural Development in the Agricultural Sector in 2022, awards promoted by the Galician Agency for Rural Development of the Xunta de Galicia (AGACAL).
