Onze producten worden gemaakt van 100% wol uit Nieuw-Zeeland waar een Dierenwelzijnswet van kracht is sinds 1999 en sinds 2018 is mulesing (het wegsnijden van stukken huid waar maden ontstaan) daar wettelijk verboden en er staan torenhoge boetes op. Uiteraard volgen we de bevindingen en onderzoeken of deze wet goed wordt nageleefd op de voet. Elk transport vanuit Nepal naar Nederland wordt CO2-gecompenseerd via een donatie aan Trees For All De wol die gebruikt wordt voor de producten van BeYoona is RWS gecertificeerd. RWS staat voor Responsible Wool Standard, een certificeringsprogramma dat ervoor zorgt dat wol afkomstig is van boerderijen die hun schapen en het land met respect en zorg behandelen. De RWS is ontwikkeld door een groep experts op het gebied van dierenwelzijn, boeren, merken, retailers en brancheverenigingen met als doel het leven van schapen te verbeteren en het milieu te beschermen.   De verf die voor de wol wordt gebruikt in onze producten is AZO-free. AZO FREE of afgekort AZ, betekent dat de wol geen kleurstoffen Tartrazine E102, Yellow SY E104, Yellow SY E110, Azorubine E122, Ponceau 4R E124, Allura E129 bevat. Deze stoffen kunnen schadelijk zijn voor gezondheid van met name jonge kinderen. Zijn de producten van BeYoona officieel Fairtrade gecertificeerd? Het overgrote deel van de producten is Fairtrade (WFTO) gecertificeerd. Indien dit het geval is, dan plaatsen wij dit logo bij het betreffende product. Ons streven is om uiteindelijk alle producten WFTO gecertificeerd te krijgen. We houden je op de hoogte van de ontwikkelingen. De producenten die de certificering niet hebben staan overigens wel op een lijst met goedgekeurde leveranciers aan Fairtrade bedrijven. De werkomstandigheden worden voortdurend gecontroleerd door toezichthouders. Batch number 24-06-06 Animal welfare and CO2 compensation Our products are made from 100% wool from New Zealand, where an Animal Welfare Act has been in force since 1999 and since 2018 mulesing (cutting away pieces of skin where maggots develop) has been prohibited by law there and there are sky-high fines. Of course we closely monitor the findings and investigate whether this law is being properly observed. Every transport from Nepal to the Netherlands is CO2 compensated through a donation to Trees For All The wool used for BeYoona products is RWS certified. RWS stands for Responsible Wool Standard, a certification program that ensures that wool comes from farms that treat their sheep and the land with respect and care. The RWS was developed by a group of animal welfare experts, farmers, brands, retailers and trade associations with the aim of improving the lives of sheep and protecting the environment. The dye used for the wool in our products is AZO-free. AZO FREE or abbreviated AZ, means that the wool does not contain the dyes Tartrazine E102, Yellow SY E104, Yellow SY E110, Azorubine E122, Ponceau 4R E124, Allura E129. These substances can be harmful to the health of young children in particular. Are BeYoona products officially Fairtrade certified? The vast majority of products are Fairtrade (WFTO) certified. If this is the case, we will place this logo with the product in question. Our aim is to eventually have all products WFTO certified. We will keep you informed of the developments. The producers who do not have the certification are on a list of approved suppliers to Fairtrade companies. The working conditions are continuously monitored by supervisors.
