The olive groves of the Nikolopoulos estate are located in the region of Kalamata, in Messinia, at an ideal altitude, on windy and sunny hillsides with limestone subsoil. The world-renowned qualities of oil from Messinia are due to the subsoil (limestone), the variety of olive oil (Koronéïki) and the venerable age of the olive trees (centenarians) in the region. The olive harvest is done by hand, between December and January. They are then taken to the ecological village mill, where the oil comes from the first cold extraction. This exceptional olive oil is produced by the Nikolopoulos family only from fresh olives from their estate, of the Koronéïki variety. Fine monovarietal oil, fruity, very digestible, low acidity, it is an authentic pure juice from the fruit of the olive tree, made with care and passion. It has been awarded several times, and in particular ranked No. 1 at the Athens International Olive Oil Fair, and voted Best Organic Product 2018 in France, all categories combined, with a score of 18.3/20.
