This unique source is located deep under Mount VAGA which is part of the ATLAS mountain range in BEJA in TUNISIA.
Its deep location protects it from any pollution or contamination, it rises to the surface by gravity and the brine has been harvested by hand without pumping or drilling for over six hundred years by the same family.
Fleur de sel, salt in liquid form, coarse and fine salt do not undergo any chemical or mechanical treatment and no addition of product as in most other existing salts.
Our salt is also, due to its location, a rare salt, rich in minerals and other salts, iron, potassium, sulfates, iodine and more, giving it, thanks to Mother Nature, a unique taste and a perfect balance. It is a gift of nature.
It has a higher salting power (so we use less) and is also lower in sodium than most other food salts.
