The San Roque de la Encina Winery was founded in 1956 in Castrillo de la Vega (Burgos), in the heart of the Ribera del Duero. It combines the traditions of the municipality's winegrowers and vintners, grouping together 159 traditional wineries and 29 historic wine presses. Our vineyards are located in this unique enclave covered by a mosaic of plots from which we make our wines, combining tradition and knowledge.
Respecting our vineyards, the winery strives for a balance between naturalness and quality, with low yields ranging from 4.000 to 5.000 kg/Ha. We are fortunate to work with plots of century-old vineyards with which we make our premium wines. Since our beginnings, we have been committed to the rural environment. We strive to establish a strong population in our municipality and develop activities to ensure our memory is not forgotten and remains present in our community.
