Its production consists of 2 stages. First, the wood is cut, shaped and sanded to remove any bark and impurities. The wooden structure is assembled by the carpenter artisans. Then the women make the rope from dried palm leaves rolled into long lengths. Finally, the braiding of the rope is done on the structure, by hand. Each stool is unique, its dimensions, shape or even the type of wood may vary from one piece to another.
