We are a Danish company, Bornholmerhampen (The Hemp from Bornholm - an island in the middle of the Baltic Sea), which produces foods and skin care products from organic industrial hemp. Our niche product is our biodynamic hemp tea.
In addition to being a crop that is good for the climate and the environment, hemp foods are both super healthy and very tasty - and more sustainable tea is hardly available: the tea is grown locally on the island of Bornholm, is Demeter certified, hand-picked and carefully processed so that all the good properties of hemp are preserved - and yes, it is industrial hemp, ie. there is nothing euphoric about the plant, hemp tea, however, is known for its balancing and anti-inflammatory properties. In terms of taste, hemp tea is often compared to a green tea, but with a little more edge and spicy notes. Hemp tea and is an excellent lunch or evening tea – or just for a quiet moment. Prepare the tea with boiling water and let it brew for 10 - 12 minutes and enjoy a moment of peace and contemplation.
