Stone Head sculpture

Zimbabwe is known around the world for its stone sculpture. This art form is often referred to as "Shona Sculpture", named after the largest Zimbabwean group of people engaged in sculpting. These stone heads are hand carved, and are as at home on your garden wall as your front door table. The artist won the Outstanding Mixed Media Award at the National Merit Awards in Zimbabwe 2014 for his unique work. He uses a hammer and chisel and with a great precision he creates the most intricate and detailed sculptures.
